A couple at the altar under the cathedral windows

Our story

The venue that love built.

A family, a closed venue, three months and 25 tons of flagstone.

Imagine planning your dream wedding and, mere months before the day, your venue closes its doors. This is how Cottonwood Glen came to be.

The bride and her family realised the best way to have the wedding of her dreams was to build the venue of her dreams. Family and friends pulled together what seemed impossible: demolition, construction, landscaping, lighting, all with evening events in mind.

The ceremony meadow had to be cleared of brush and downed timber, levelled and reseeded. Tall, swaying cottonwoods now wrap around it like an outdoor chapel. Our family came together to create this place, and we are blessed to share it with every couple who comes our way.

Julie Jeffries and Katie Jackson, venue specialists

Venue Specialist

Julie Jeffries

“Nothing compares to witnessing the unity of love unfold amidst the beautiful natural surroundings of The Glen.”

Julie shares the setting with every couple and helps them plan the day. Away from work she is on an adventure with her husband Jacob, their son Caleb and their Shih Tzu, Rio, and studies Hospitality and Event Management at Metro State.

Venue Specialist

Katie Jackson

“I believe in treating everyone like family and strive to make you feel like you belong here.”

Katie found her love of events at Baylor University and with a large production company. She still cries when a bride starts down the path to The Glen.

The property

Pheasants, deer and open sky.

Cottonwood Glen shares its land with the Kiowa Creek Sporting Club. Wildlife wanders the whole property, and the light changes with the hour and the season, so no two weddings photograph the same.

  • 740 acres of rolling plains along Kiowa Creek
