Bennett, Colorado · since 2015

The venue that love built.

A ceremony meadow under the cottonwoods, a barn-style pavilion and a fireside patio, on 740 acres of prairie 25 miles east of Denver.

Our story

A bride’s venue closed months before her wedding. So her family built her one.

In the spring of 2015 the groom and his father-in-law-to-be moved 25 tons of flagstone, laid a checkerboard dance floor, raised a pergola and a stone hearth, and cleared a meadow under the cottonwoods. An Amish craftsman built twelve-foot cathedral windows for the altar. The first wedding was theirs, in July. Every couple since has walked the same flagstone aisle.
